Ok, so you've read Hwey's recent entry.
I found out the same way too. Eating broccoli.
So I was downstairs devising a plan with my dad, trying to figure out where to place the new guest.
Again, I got the same idea as Hwey. Sean moves out of his room and Jamie and San San can occupy it. Sean can sleep in the computer room then. But I do not recommend that. EVER. The last time he stayed there, the room was a mess. The floor couldn't be clean because of all his shit, ants were invading the room because he eats in there and leaves his plates and glasses everywhere (Not like he bothered to clean them when he wasn't occupying the room anyway), and I had a hard time practicing my friggin' piano.
My mum was thinking of doing an extension last year. But Lilian Too and all the other Feng Shui masters did not encourage construction because of some 'Killing 5 something' that was in the middle of all houses this year.
And when I was talking to Hwey about this moving-in thing, she said something about Sean moving in to our room.
Why not, right?
I really don't mind. Somehow. I don't know. But I don't mind him sleeping in there. However, he cannot touch any of our things. No unsolicited statements from him about our business unless requested to otherwise. That's all I can think of right now.
Oh dear, Mummy doesn't know yet...
p/s, Notice how much we've been blogging?

I didn't set my alarm last night so I woke up feeling so happy inside, knowing that I didn't have to expect the alarm in the morning. I slept at 4am you see. Very tired. Need to sleep more. Alas, dear mother had to pound on the door, making sure her genius daughters were awake.
So we went off to get contacts for the game, but there was no stock. Typical lar.. We always do things at the very last minute. Study also like that, christmas shopping also like that, do IC also like that.
Then we didn't feel like going for paintball anymore. The mood was just gone. So my first game will be with friends. But that would probably take a while. I felt a bit bad that The Mother had to tell her sisters that we weren't going anymore. There's a reason to it, but I can't seem to put it in words. It's just a feeling that I know she could possibly find it hard because of us.
So next stop, Midvalley. I haven't been there for, probably a year maybe? Since Form 5 I think. Hwey was asking why we never did go there anymore. Well, we hated the place. No particular reason. It just became a place we disliked.
I finally got new headphones! Whoopee! Thank you dear sister for lending me your headphones, with or without permission, for such a long duration. *Hugs you and eats your face*
Next carolling session: Leisure Mall, Cheras. 3pm. 24 December, 2006.
*counter-strike soundbite* Go, go, go!

My last day of carolling.
I'm glad. No more having to go off to LWSSOM every evening. Today was pretty good. Better than the last at least. I was smiling all the way during the performance, which is good. Thinking of how weird the situation was, it kept me smiling. Not a lot of people gathered to watch; I couldn't see very well 'cause my glasses weren't with me; some kid running up to us excited that we were carolling; and the thought that we ditched the cars in the middle of a jam and ran for the monorail station in our costumes. We did the same the last time. That time, we changed in the LRT.
To pass the time in the jam, we practiced and all. Ngar Tian threatened to kick us out 3 times. When we ditched the cars, I was walking to the station with a choir mate, some driver kept honking lightly, trying to get our attention. We did what all sensible human beings did, ignore the crazy uncle. Then when he remembered that he left the keyboard in the car, he ran to get it. The same guy kept honking at him.. I was like, WTH??!!
Paintball tomorrow!
p/s, I'm feeling a bit lazy writing sponsered posts.

Straight As baby!!!
Just received our results for our 3rd semester in the mail.
I'm happy.. but it was short lived.
I was so excited when I found out. I was literally jumping in my mother's room while waiting for her to pick up her phone. But when she picked up, my excitement was just gone. Poof. Takda.
I could never imagine myself squealing my results to my mother or anyone for that matter.
Anyway, Merit Scholarship, you serve me beginning the next semester. BuaahahAHahaAHaaa...MUAHAHAhaahaHaHaaHAAA...

Was reading the newspapers just now and found a few amusing issues from there, plus thoughts that occurred to me when I was talking to Hwey. It's all amusing and new to me 'cause I haven't been reading the newspapers for the past week. Basically I'm coming up with my own theories for a few of them.
Issue #1
Why is it that politicians think that by renaming roads or government buildings and things like that, after leaders/great contributors to the country/or famous politicians would enhance or strengthen "emotional ties to the country" [TheStar, Dec 18, 2006, World News section]?
Unless we take it this way. It seems a little far-fetched, but this was how I assume it would work.
This is all purely a figment of my imagination that stems from an exhausted brain. But it could be true, though. COULD.
So the roads are named after some great leader or politician (deceased or not). But being citizens that have to cope with today's advanced and complicated technology and their oh-so busy lives, they really couldn't care less about where the names come from. They just need to know which road belongs to which name in order to find their way around town or city.
Only until they've got people asking them, "Ezkoozee me, monsieur. Why iz zis road named XXX?", or "Daddy... Why are the roads named after some dead guy?", do they dig up the information. Hence, acknowledging and having the knowledge about the road name's origin. And then maybe they would have some form of attachment to the person when they find out about what they've done for their country and whatnot. Or if some sort of racial riot came up. Some dude criticizes some other dudes gang and blah blah blah.. They stand up for their clan or something, saying "Ha! My ancestors did this and that. You got anot?!"
Again, I remind you. This is purely a figment of my imagination that stems from a tired mind. No intention of causing a national or international level racial riot or whatnot.
In Kuching, they have all these long, long names for some roads. Got to search KennySia's archives for that.
Point is, would that measure REALLY, in some way, strengthen emotional ties?
Issue #2
Hrithik Roshan looks like Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey from Grey's Anatomy in yesterday's newspaper (TheStar).
Hence leading to the question, why do most Bollywood stars possess western-like appearances? Is it real or do they wear colour contacts and stuff like that?
You know the other Bollywood star, Sanjay Dutt that was convicted of arms possession? Very angmoh, can?

And somehow, ONLY Bollywood stars look like that. Do you see the non-Bollywood people of India look like fellow sapiens from the West? I personally haven't. I think. Yeah.. I think it's like those who are supposed to be on screen will only look like that. Like the contestants from India in beauty pageants or something like that. They all look like they came out from a movie.
Issue #3
In AvrilBandaids, someone said that albums are released on Tuesdays in the US. Over here, movies are released on Thursdays. Kinda weird/funny..
Why Tuesdays and Thursdays? Wouldn't weekends be alright? Probably not. Weekends are used to do performances and stuff. Meet the fans, you know? But why specifically Tuesdays? Something to do with banks or NASDAQ then?
Doesn't matter. I'll find out eventually. One day.
Issue #4
Firefox shortcut keys. The word 'shortcut' is already there. So wouldn't it make more sense to actually type abbreviations or something really short for it.
For example, Hwey has a bookmark for Blogsvertise. Her shortcut key for it is 'blogsvertise'. Another example, Zhang's blog. Shortcut key, 'guozhang'.
So long for what...
'bv' and 'gz' would be fine wert. But of course, I am entitled to my own opinions and whatever she wants to do with it is up to her. However, I beh tahan lah.
Hwey, I've changed the shortcut keys for Blogsvertise to 'bv' and Zhang's to 'gv'. Just in case you didn't notice.
Let me digress for 4 seconds. High School Never Ends is a good song. By Bowling For Soup.
Issue #5
No space for teh tarik, the headlines for TheStar read yesterday. I don't exactly know why they said they were going to make teh tarik and tossing roti canai all over space for, but thank goodness it's no longer in their schedule.
And I finally know why they want to send dudes up there liao. For research mar... For medicine and food technology. Medicine, acceptable lar.. But food technology ar?
Yes, I know you CAN do research up there to improve this and that for export and stuff, but the first thing that came to mind was, "Have to send someone off to space, make such a big fuss over it (Imagine all the publicity they have to give just because they're sending Spaceman Spiff up for the first time), just for food?"
I just thought it would be something a bit more important, that's all.
Yes, I know. It's a science thing, something about microgravity and all. The effects on food or something to that effect. Blah blah blah...

I'm going for paintball this Saturday!
Finally. Supposed to go with Edwin Khoo and gang after SPM. But, you know lar.. A lot of things we say we want to do after SPM don't really happen that much.
I wanted to go with Sim Ai, Siok Wah and Hwey plus whoever wants to join. But it's so expensive. Not to mention Sim and Wah won't go also.
Anyway, Mother is sponsoring our game! It's the Ker Family (Mum's family) against the Soongs (cousins' family).
Family feud! It'll just be The Hwey and I for the Yea family but we're under Ker. Sean's in Singapore with RuRu.
I wonder how am I going to wear the mask with glasses on. Contacts would be good, wouldn't it?
I'm excited and nervous and worried and lost, I don't know what to do!! I'm feeling funny about Saturday...

Hello hello...
This hole has been a bit heavy on the sponsored entries side recently. So very sorry. But I'm trying to finance a bit of my studies so I can live a more comfortable life when I'm overseas. Don't have to lose heating in the flat and all that shizz...
Well, I've been really busy this holidays. As I've said before, I've been to SS2 almost everyday since my holidays, which is 2 weeks ago. And my holidays are only for 3 weeks. I still have to go to music school everyday for choir, until the 22nd. We've got to memorize Christmas carols. 10 songs. 10 long, long songs. You know 'Sleigh Ride'? Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting, tingling too~~ Bloody long, ok? 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer' and 'Joy To The World' is also quite long.
Then, 25th is Christmas = Cheras + presents + meeting a very pregnant Sarah.

Photo grabbed from ConvictedFreedom
After Christmas, It'll probably be spring cleaning for me. Throw junk and recycle my scrap papers!
My guai-lo cousins are coming for a stay next year in October. Jonathan and Elisabeth, along with Aunty Peggy. Haven't seen them since '98.
Ahhhh... That should probably sum up my year. A not too happening year, but have accomplished a small percentage of my goals. Good enough.
By the way, there's a sponsored entry coming right up. But you'ved probably seen it already even before reading this.
One more thing, please link me! Whoever you are! Link me!

I've been frequenting SS2 a lot lately. Had to be in music school to prepare for christmas performances. Heading there tomorrow again for class. I dread it...
On Friday, a bunch of us were in LWSSOM for 12 whole hours recording and dancing. Really. Then today, we went to Ampang Park to perform. It wasn't that good overall. We didn't really execute our planned steps and all that because the setting was a bit different from what we expected and we were too inexperienced to improvise.

I think I'm going to start making money with my blog now. I want to save money!!!

SP - GUARANTEEDblinds.com
My sponsor has sent me my first task! Whoopee!
Okay, GUARANTEEDblinds.com is a website where you can browse through a whole lot of... well, blinds lar. According to them, they are "the leading Internet retailer of high quality custom blinds, discount blinds, and specialty window coverings."
This reminds me. 100 years ago, The Mother wanted to buy some blinds for her children's rooms from IKEA. She was looking and looking, and she saw these bamboo blinds or something like that.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. My point is, I was surfing through GUARANTEEDblinds.com, and I saw a really nice set of blinds. Natural woven wood and bamboo, Riviera™ Collection.
GUARANTEEDblinds.com has got lots of window blinds and shade products like wood blinds, faux wood blinds, mini blinds, and vertical blinds, roman shades, cellular shades, pleated shades, roller shades, and woven wood bamboo shades.
If you can't decide, they'll help you by giving tips and advice on window blind treatments from their experts. They also have free sampling where you can order a sample and all that to see which fabric or design suits the interior of your house.
GUARANTEEDblinds.com also has a measuring guide on their site so you won't have to worry if the blinds don't fit.
Personally, I think Malaysians could use some blinds. If not blinds, at least a curtain, okay?
All the UV rays shooting right through your windows are no good.
So if you ever decide that you want some blinds to protect your room from the scorching sun, take a look at GUARANTEEDblinds.com's range of products. I think they're having a sale...
By the way, I've always wanted these blinds. *Cough christmaspresent cough* *Cough makesuretheyfitmywindowsfirstokay cough*

Dudes, I hope this will not be disturbing or irritating to you all in the near future.
But I signed up for Blogsvertise.
I got too bored (maybe..). So I decided to sign up and make me some petty cash.
It really doesn't pay much compared to PayperPost and ReviewMe. Well, since they are just asking you to mention them and link them 3 times in your entry, I suppose it's worth it's value. I think.

Hey, I just realized that I've been writing for about 14 months. That's quite long, isn't it?
For me, I guess.
I don't quite remember how long did my last blog last. And for what reason did I delete it and started this one weeks later?
Completely no idea.
Well, that's me. Freaking forgetful. That's my routine actually. Except when it comes to banging people back and collecting debts. Yep, that's me. I'm stingy and revengeful (in terms of listing out all the things I've done for you, which you so gracefully [may have] forgotten.)
Update! My little hobby has expanded from an aimless, over-detailed-that-it-becomes-freaking-long fiction to 4 and a half chapters! Whoopee for me!
I can actually write that much. And mind you, those chapters are considered long. None of you get to see them anyway/by the way/however.
I'm so tired right now, but I don't want to sleep. I'm so sticky right now, I just want to bathe. I'm so in pain right now, but I don't have a masseuse. I'm in desperate need of a new book to read right now, but I can't get any yet (Or I'll have to settle with McFly fan fiction, although there are a few really good writers there).
On another note, Chia Li's (Then on, known as Esther.) birthday is coming really soon.I hope there's booze. But then, Guan Shern is having a BBQ party on the same day and the time is so close together.
The Hwey just contemplates on whether she should be going for both. What's there to think?! Just go for both!
Go to Esther's first, celebrate for 2 hours maybe? Since they said it'll be a short celebration.
(I suggest we crash Jolin Tsai's concert and jump on stage while she dances to her song, Dancing Diva [I hate that song! I was forced to learn it for choir! Freaking song gives me the creeps now.], force Jolin to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Esther at knife-point while doing her gymnastics [I don't hate Jolin. I like her. I just prefer to watch her dancing]. Then make her fans buy presents for Esther.)
Then head on over to Guan Shern's BBQ. 10 o'clock, still not too late, right? 20-40 people expected, so I don't think the party's going to end so soon. And it was nice of Guan Shern to invite me as well, even if we don't know each other well. Thank you to you!I hope there's booze.
Update shmugdates.
Reading that book makes me feel all thoughtful again. Time flies like crazy.
Sean's listening to Viva Forever by Spice Girls. I like that song. But it reminds me even more of the past and how time has really, REALLY, crazily flew by. I still remember watching that Spice Girls movie. Victoria driving the bus pass Buckingham Palace.
Can you imagine Princess Diana has been gone for 10 years, next year? (No offense or anything for bringing this up like it's nobodies business. Did not intend to and don't mean to.) Her sons are throwing a concert in her memory in Wembley Arena. I think it's there. Anyway, it's all still in the works.
As much as I like thinking/planning my future (as I've been doing a lot, telling all of you poor souls out there, reading all my shit), I hate it as much. I get so lost 'cause I can't make up my mind. I like this and I like that. I like advertising, I like hotel management, I like to be in the production of films, I like being able to work in a record company running the schedules of artistes (which reminds me, saw Quincy Tan, yet again. He was wearing this really cool, totally white cap. I want a cap for my freaking birthday, as I have said before on my 16th birthday!), I like writing (weird, never knew I really did), I like science (even weirder), I like planning things somehow, hence event management!, and now I like a bit of journalism!
I thought I was going to score badly for Journalism. Guess not. I think. Don't think I'm doing that bad anyway.
Ahhhh... The joy of having a blog. Rant like it's nobodies business. No one's going to stop you. See, I'm talkative.
You know what, I've never ever completely agreed on the idea that weblogs should be made to be seen by the whole world. It is, after all, a journal; your personal thoughts, feelings and opinions, your life is in there. Sorry, UP there, in the World Wide Web for the Whole Wide World to see.
A journal, something so personal, published on the web, for the masses to delve (as I search the meaning of this word, I multitask; Doing kindeegarden maths and typing in the search box for the word 'delve'. I've searched the word before, but poor little too-young-to-have-Alzheimer's me is having a tough time recalling its meaning.)into. Just doesn't seem right.
Even worse, these 'authors' want people to come in and read about their lives (Beyotchy ol' me was a victim once). Yes, the attention can be nice. But a journal? Seriously. Yes, yes. Times have changed. Everything is so commercialized nowadays. Even Campbell's Soup has got to think up ways for their customers to enjoy their soup (notice their commercials about people being able to enjoy their soup with biscuits), or else they're doomed. (Edit: Just noticed that Campbell's doesn't really have anything to do with this issue.)
But I refuse to accept the fact that journals should be allowed any viewership by the masses. Just like I refuse to accept the fact that primary school girls are dressing way older than they should be, way older than me. But what am I saying? I'm a blogger, but who does not yearn for the high volume of visitors anymore. Already stopped long time ago.
But then again, it's a fact. No point in being so resentful about it. It's still gonna happen. The world still revolves around the sun. The birds are still going to chirp in the morning at 7am (unless they die of a terrible pandemic). Sean is still going to sing his latin songs, sitting in front of the computer, and sometimes standing up to do his Cha Chas. Mosquitoes are still going to suck off my leg when I blog in this room. Time's still going to move even if we wanted it to stop to enjoy or prevent certain things.
I'm so realistic. Practical. My aunt said that I'm a practical person. But I do have my share of, and dream about things that I know won't come true. Forgive me, I digress.
Right. Back to what I was saying. It's a fact that 9 year-olds are already turning into miniature women. It's a fact that journals are being commercialized (Just that one sense of privacy brought out to the world! Yes, I still can't get over it). It's a fact that I'm sleeping late lately and will have a problem waking up when my next semester starts. It's a fact that my annoying brother has no concern for the things happening in the family. It's a fact that Malaysia may, I repeat, MAY, become very dependant on other countries if we keep sending young PhD holders into space and asking them to make teh tarik there. Not to mention all the bloody records we want to break and make.
Again, I didn't know I could write so much about what I want to say. Quite difficult for me, you see.
Anyway, it is a fact that I HAVE to accept, because if you don't accept things that happen and are for real, you'll be shunned and possibly be seen as a deviant (just maybe..).
Maybe not. You'll probably just get weird stares all over and people won't really want to talk to you because they think you can't accept change and you're unusual.
*Gasps* It's the girl/guy-who-can't-accept-the-fact, run awaaaaay!
I'll end here.
Haaaaa.. I hope I have more of these posts. Makes me feel good knowing that I can write long pieces of articles. I <3 writing!!
On another note, Chia Li's (Then on, known as Esther.) birthday is coming really soon.
Thank you to you!

I borrowed a book today from Walk-in Rent-a-book and it's freakin' 585 pages long! Almost Harry Potter thick..
Cecelia Ahern - Where Rainbows End
Finished it in approximately... 4 hours plus? So funny... I'd be laughing my ass off (That's just exaggerated, since I'm not the one with loud laughs, I think.) suddenly beside my mother or sister and they'd just look at me all weird.

The whole book is written in a transcript kind of way because of certain reasons la... Not going to be a spoiler, but not like any of you would read the book anyway.
Well, like I said, the whole book is written in a transcript kind of way. Letters, emails, greeting cards, instant messages from age 5 between 2 best friends right until their 50 years old. 45 years in 585 pages! Of course, there were the letters and stuff from the main character's family members and other friends as well.
Only right up till the end, it was made clear that Rosie, the main character was reading through her transcripts of conversations and letters of her whole life with family and friends.
I thought that this might be nice to put up, and also an attempt to make you give the book a go.

Reviewer: M. S. Roberts "I'm A Lonely Angel Stuck On The Slow Path" (South Queensferry United Kingdom) -
This is one of the most original books I have read in a long time. It's seems completely fictional, but it consists of nothing but notes passed in school, emails, instant messages, text messages, and the good old fashioned way, letters. It also spans over 40 years just in one book. Of course, only the important events occur, years sometimes passing in the turn of a couple of pages.
There's no particular no time period in this, as instant messaging is included quite early on in the book, and for it to span over 40 years, there's no specific year the book starts and ends. It can be quite confusing that way, but don't let your mind dwell on it.
The book is about Rosie & Alex, who start off as best friends at school, and over the years, they encounter all the important events together: first loves, first jobs, pregnancy, marriage (to the wrong people at that), divorce, loss of jobs, reappearance of old girlfriends/boyfriends - basically everything you dread to happen in your life. Throughout all this, they argue, talk to others about what they can't tell each other, marry others ... The list goes on. They want to be together, but there's always some kind of obstacle.
At first the book can be severely hard to get into, considering there's nothing but emails etc. But I've now read this book more than once (it must be 4 or 5 times now), and I still find it exciting!
I identified a lot with this book, cos I'm a terrible hoarder, not only of material things, but stuff like emails & texts too. I have saved any email that ever meant anything to me, and the same goes for texts. I've saved some IM chats with my friends (which are somewhere), but I'm terrified about ever losing all my emails. They tell a story. They're nice to look back over every so often.
I love "P.S I Love You" too, but "If You Could See Me Now" was confusing and disappointing, and I still haven't managed to read more than halfway through the book. I haven't even managed to GET halfway. I hope her next book follows on from "P.S. I Love You" and "Where Rainbows End", cos then it'll be great.

Know what I just found out?
After I handed in my News Writing exam paper, my Advertising lecturer comes up to me and says, "You know your Advertising paper, you mixed up the Reach & Frequency. Or not you would have gotten full marks."
*Grumbles*
*Thunder* and *Thunder again*
AaaaAAaRrrRrrgGgGghHHHh...
Freaking 6 marks gone!!
So long, Distinction. *waves*
*Edit: I'm not sure whether she said Advertising or Media Planning now. They're almost the same.
p.s., Zhang, we got full marks for the Advertising assignment! Thanks for helping us! *cuddle cuddle*
...
I've taken up a new hobby.
Creative Writing!
So fun lar.. Constructing the sentences, researching for information, searching the dictionary and thesaurus (One my favourite things to do..).. The great feeling of knowing, "Wow.. I can write something like this ar.."
Ok lar.. I personally find it not bad. But it could stink for others lar. I don't give a damn!
Speaking of writing, we got back our feature story on Daphne Iking today. I got 17/20.. That's the highest. HahHAHAhAAaaHAhAaa.. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, read Hwey's here.
But a lot of people got 17 also lar.. so.. ya lar..
...
I'm flipping high right now.
I don't know why.
But taking exams are not so bad after all.
