As you all would know, I went to my biew kao foo's (Mum's younger cousin bro) wedding dinner last night. Wore my new shoes and top, along with a skirt that Mum bought in HK. A very pretty skirt, but never wore it because it didn't match anything I had. Hah...
Met many other biew kao foos that I didn't know exist. Young ones and old ones. A few more looked like they're not married..
It was in the Grand Ballroom of the Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam. Reached there about 10 minutes before 8pm. Hung around for a while, chatting with aunties and uncles. Then the parents went to get a drink. Miss Yea 2(MY2) & I shared a glass of wine. Don't know what wine was that.. but was not bad... Tastes better after eating.
Sat with my second/third aunt & family. (We usually call by Auntie Karen or Mai Seong & stuff.. Never before called by sei yee or what.) The opening was quite nice, except for the emcees. Their 'england not veli sparkling'... and the male emcee was laughing at his own jokes. I know, not good to say stuff like that about others, right? But really lar, my table was like
I think there were 6, 7 dishes (???). The four combination cold dish, abalone & sea cucumber soup, roasted Pei Pa (Chicken & Duck), braised oyster and mushrooms, some prawn, almond beancurd & longan dessert with some kuih that tasted like angku (the nyonya kuih). I might have missed out some. I don't know.
Anyway, softdrinks, tea and wine.. free flow ! The waiter was asking me if I'd like some more wine.. ???? ... FYI, the glass was in between MY2 & I. Guess why he asked me?? Ahahahaha... (Ok, I just want to boast a bit more about my attire that night.. really very nice, you know!! The shoes, the skirt.. !!)
During dinner, we talked about SPM, other wedding dinners, clothes, emcees and stuff. Got to know that there are 2 more wedding dinners I have to attend this year. Cousin Leigh & Sarah's and Auntie Yvonne's son, Michael & Cherrie (I think it's spelt this way. And it's pronounced as chair-ree).
Hmmm.. I love wedding dinners, especially when you don't have to sit at the kid's table. My Mum's family loved to split the tables into two. The ADULTS & the KIDS. Sat at the kids table for the past 17 years!!! Hope we are gonna sit at the A table for the many, many years to come. : )
After the dinner, got back home, bathed, watched Ghost Hunters and went to bed. Had a problem getting some decent sleep though. Mum too. She said she had a bit too much to drink. I think I had 2 glasses.
I thought it would be easier to sleep if a person consumes 'enough' alcohol?
Gasp.. Something's wrong with Blogger !! The compose and edit button on the right are missing..
BTW, tried the camera already, and it's great. Damn leng lar the pictures. I got a picture of MY2 when I told her her hair looks great then. So pretty wei.. She loves it as well.

You forgot the tasty fish.
Eek! The comment button for March 20th's entry is no where to be seen! Maybe it's just the dum-dum computer in college...
Anyway, how much did you buy that camera for?
