As of now, Kae Shiuh is having a hard time explaining to me about college education still not enough when you start working and all that.
"nowadays wut u learn in college cant bring u far... self learnin[is key]," he says.
His explanations were making me confused. The words he use ar.... But I think I got his main point.
This reminds me of another explanation session held for me in Form 4 by Siok Wah and Choo Yang.
We were having our finals or something. I didn't understand the concept of one of the measuring tools used in Physics.
And both of them spent a REALLY long time explaining to me why it starts measuring from 0.01 (or was it 0.02?) instead of 0.00. And I don't think I really did get it. Then.
Back to Kae Shiuh's thing. Besides absorbing what the college is teaching you, make it a point to learn other stuff as well. What other stuff? I don't know. Either is learn something related to your course of study or learn something else like soft skills or something.
Doesn't matter. Both also applicable.
And out of all the times I've talked to him online, which is not that many I suppose, somehow we only seem to talk about jobs (more specifically, data entry), college and the current exchange.
So serious, man..
...
Today, I was surfing smashpOp's site and... WOW.. The photos are chun-ted.
Most of his photos (those that are on the frontpage lar), I noticed, seem to be - blur at the back, sharp at the front.
I forgot what's it called already. Something about depth of field. Or was it something about focus.
I don't remember anymore.
My Photo Ethics ad Colour Photography lecturer would be so disappointed in me.
I want a DSLR camera !!
I really want one.
...
I'm going through my lecturer's script from his programme and I came upon this little piece of information.
Did you know it is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky?
Ya la.. I didn't know that.

The DSLR would be a long term goal lar.
Obviously no one is going to get me one.
But thanks for the suggestion and the lesson on depth of field.
The problem is, I don't know the optical zoom on my camera (Doesn't say so in the manual or anywhere, but will find out later).
'Cause I tried just now (using the method you taught), and it didn't turn out well.
I check the menu options in the camera, it can only turn the digital zoom on or off only..
The whole kit doesn't say how powerful the zoom function is leh..
