Disturbing and violent.
The film gave me an impression that the whole thing was very Americanized. Yeah, so Mel Gibson wrote part of the script. But it gave me the feeling like the things that happen in the movie happens in modern America. Especially the character, Middle Eye. Typical American bully.
And the little girl that suffered from Leprosy... Wahseh.. She is scary.
During the sacrificial scene at the step pyramid in a Maya city, the crowd was cheering and stuff. And when the High Priest was talking BS with them about their ceremony and all, they looked as if they were fans. Sacrificial-crazed fans of some sort.

(L-R) Ruler(that has pretty eyes), crazy bomoh guy, High Priest, Queen that looked like she didn't give a damn about the sacrifice.
They just look it la.. Not saying that they are, because they were plagued with dry crops and all. Desperate times call for desperate measures. So, there you have a bunch of people throwing a sacrificial party for the Sun God.
And the rulers of that particular city looked like they were frickin' Romans can?! With all their extensive and detailed headgear, they do. The women had feathered fans that you hold with your hand.
We didn't finish the movie yet 'cause we ran out of time. But our lecturer will let us finish it next week.
BTW, were blow jobs existent during the Mayan civilization??

Er.. Not wanting to be an arse, but the "most" in front of "nastiest" is redundant. Just so you know =) Have a good day!
Oh.. ya ha.. didn't notice.
I feel like a hypocrite.
Why so? It's good to correct yourself. Mistakes happen, but we all try to be perfectionists, don't we?
