She checked into her trusty ol' Statcounter one day, as she usually would.
"Hmmm.. 2 only ar?" She wondered aloud.
Clicking on the "Recent came from" link, she was shocked to find a new blog that she had never seen before.
Hah? Who is this?, she thought.
She nervously and excitedly clicked the link. She loved new readers, and what's best is that it was a direct link tracking back to the visitor. Perfect.
To her horror, she found someone who has been in hiding for a very long time.
She was shocked and started panicking. She shouted and yelled as she scanned through the pages, confirming the identity of said visitor.
Oh my god, this cannot be true! Is this really her??!!
Then, she spotted proof in various entries in the blog. But who is this Cathy that she signed off as? Why did she sign off as Cathy?
Ah, anonymity. So it seems she really doesn't want anyone else to know about this journal of hers.
Anonymous visits her friend's blog often but never comments. She probably thought her friend would not be able to track down her blog, as she objected to her friend's requests to spill the beans. Or, more precisely, the blog add.
The friend is glad that she finally found her.
Darling, I have statcounter la..

Funny how you say "la." My friends and I think it's cute when sentences end that way.
Well, the Statcounter only works when your friend included your link on her blog. If she really intended to remain 'anonymous' and not tell anyone about her blog, she wouldn't have linked you from her site. In that case, she can still read you but you won't be able to track her.
Another possibility is that - those clicks weren't hers. It could be that her readers clicked them, and then landed on your site :).
Anyway, thanks for the link love, and that (Statcounter) is precisely how I landed here!
Hi.. Nice of you to drop by..
Well, yeah, she did link me. And she does read my blog often. Just that, she didn't want to tell me her blog url, that's all.
:)
