Lar and la

La(1), la(2), la(3), la(4)

What's the difference between using lar and la?

*wwf cheahwey says:
oh... dont put water mark in booklet pages la... just a small logo at the bottom right or something

oh oh... a small watermark logo at the bottom right... and put the pg number on top of it

I, Evil Genius. - Everybody make your way to KDU next Tuesday & Wednesday.
ooh.. cute

I, Evil Genius. - Everybody make your way to KDU next Tuesday & Wednesday.
that's your job lar

Notice the last sentence in the convo?

that's your job lar.

Sounds very accusing of some sort, right? More like pointing out harshly.

But it was meant to sound like a very cheerful statement. Pointing out... happily?

Nah. More like.. pleasantly, I think. The pinyin for it would be that's your job lar(1).

I know that it's all in the way you read/say it. The tone. And it's my fault that I added the r. But how do you differentiate it when you're writing/typing it?

Personally, lah appears to be used more when one is nonchalant about a certain topic. Eg: Screw you lah.

Other than that, la or lar doesn't really make a difference to me. All the same. Besides, we just know when we read it because we use the word more often than write it.

Lar when I'm unsure about something and in normal convo's.

La when I'm pissed off about something.

Lah when I'm tired of talking about something.

Usually.
