How would it be like to give birth?

Went to see Gramma just now. BP has gone down but not low enough. Most probably tomorrow can come home. And because she was placed in the Maternity ward, I got to see a whole building of mothers and babies, that were blocked by linen, walls, and windows, opposite Gramma's block.

But I did see a baby that was in an incubator or something. The one with the UV light. Then we went on to talk about how it was for Mama when she gave birth to Sean. The hospital usually takes care of the baby once you've given birth, and brings the baby to the mother the next day. On the night Mama gave birth, they put her in a room to recuperate. She heard babies crying the whole night and thought it was her baby. So she kept on getting up and eventually fell from the bed, because the meds weren't off yet. It was funny.

And when Sean had to be in the UV incubator thing, my dad slumber only, whereas Mum was so afraid and worried. HAhahahahaHAHaha. He very funny wan lo.. Everything plan nice, nice. No extra time for emergencies wan.

And then we went on about whether we have to wait when giving birth, or whether the treatment is better in private or government hospitals etc..

Pregnant ladies still have to wait. When giving birth, they have to be cut or risk tearing themselves. And after that, they're left with a bundle of fat for their baby to snuggle in. And you know what? Cousin Jamie paraphrased an article, saying that, after a woman gives birth, her brain produces a sort of morphine to make her forget the pain. And therefore, she will want to give birth again. WaH!?

I've seen videos of women giving birth. It's a little scary, but not to the point where I cringe or tremble. It's just painful. Is there even an instance where you don't have to be cut during labour? I suppose if the baby is small enough.. But that's not good. So, yes. We HAVE to be cut.

Cut your perineum.

Angel: Ah. A doctor. Or student doctor. Thanks for visiting =)

I don't think it's only after giving birth that you forget the pain. It's like that with every thing that you like to do, e.g. getting tattoos. It hurts like hell but after a few days I 'forget' how painful it was (although I KNOW it is) and I always want to get more.
