I think going Ala Carte is cheaper.

I spent the past hour or two comparing possibilities@prices for a one night Genting trip. More specifically, Click Five's concert, dated 7th June 2008. And so, I came up with three plans.


* Booking rooms online entitles you to a discount and inclusive of breakfast for two. But only applies to certain seasons.
* Plans do not include other costs i.e. snacks, leisure.
* Meal prices are estimates.
* Prices shown here are dated 1st May 2008.



PLAN A (Room Package) RM 433.40

First World Hotel:
Standard room RM 205 nett

Concert tickets:
PS2 RM48 * 2 pax (NP: RM60) RM 96

Lunch + Dinner + Breakfast (RM 15 / meal):
RM 45 * 2 pax RM 90

Transport:
LRT - RM 3 (max) * 2 pax * two-way RM 12
Bus & SkyWay - RM 7.60 * 2 pax * two-way RM 30.40




PLAN B (Concert Package) RM 520.40

Theme Park Hotel:
Superior room (NP: RM 270)
RM 448 nett inclusive of: Breakfast for two
Meal voucher for two (can use for 7th dinner)
Concert tickets PS2 RM60 * 2 pax

Lunch (RM 15 / meal):
RM 15 * 2 pax RM 30

Transport:
LRT - RM 3 (max) * 2 pax *two-way RM 12
Bus & SkyWay - RM 7.60 * 2 pax * two-way RM 30.40




PLAN C (Go Genting Package) RM 482.20

2 pax * RM 47 nett inclusive of : Return bus ticket
Return skyway transfer
Buffet lunch OR theme park pass RM 94

Dinner + Breakfast (RM 15 / meal):
RM 30 * 2 pax RM 60

I just took a look at the F&E packages. They're cheap if booked online alright. Yes, duh. So my plans work for concerts la I think. Just replace the prices according to your needs or what is shown on the Genting website.
