Waking up in a hot and humid room is no good for Eczemic patients. I've been having this for almost seven years. *flash* And it'll be 20 years on. There is no cure, did you know that? Many live with it, and for those who are lucky, GONE, forever.
Doctor's still can't really identify what caused and triggers it. The GP said it could be dust or food. The specialist said it could be certain types of metals.
Sigh. I need air con, moisturiser, medication and short nails forever!

waliao y u scratch till so yong sui wan? O.o
no cure at all meh?
Nicole: Cause the surface of my skin is flat, as compared to the surface on my elbows. So when I used to scratch my elbows all, it didnt bleeEEEeEd.
HaHahaha.
Memang pun. You can only try to not trigger it lo..
silveraven: Wah.. I don't think I've been that bad la. But it's terribly hard for my skin to recover whenever I have wounds, somehow. They just keep becoming like that! And thanks for the tip =)
there are so many creams to try, u can definitely find one that works for u. if it flares up, then u might want to try steroid creams. medically, it's hard, almost impossible to know what causes it.
I've tried steroids. It subsided. Then it was gone. Then it came back after a week. Then I went to the specialist. It was gone for a month and it came back again. And the creams that used to work, don't anymore. So yeah.. I think I can only do preventive measures la. Like, using shower gels with moisturiser.
you tried STEROIDS?!?!
waliao.. how come ur muscles dont grow big wan??? heart got any problem ar?
HahHAHaHAHhAhAhaha. External use la!
Cream, Nicole. Cream! (That sounds wrong doesn't it? Haha.)
If use too much then will have problems la.
hey, i have eczema on the back of my neck now too. i realized it occurred after i started delaying my showers after coming back from the gym. or prolonged hours of non bathing.
so hygiene is very important. it can be curb by using facewashes on the surface on the skin, jz like pimples.
Wah, serious ah? But eczema is red, itchy patches on the skin, looks like rashes. It's caused by excessive dryness (as I know la) on the upper layer of skin. How come use facewash can already?
because face wash is milder ma.. ur facial skin is thinner (i think) and more sensitive..
put baby oil can ar? lol or OLIVE OIL =D
But depends on what facewash also right? Some is to prevent oil, some for blemishes and acne all that. So which one? or just a normal refreshing/moisturising cleanser? Like Dove. But expensive.
eh, the cream im using also steroid wan wor. although it's not completely cure yet, but it's not itchy as before. so, i continue using it. =)
ya, and i also use gel cleanser, from Nu Skin. probably my skin is too dry or sensitive to polluted environment, after i used that, it helps too.
so use both of this when your face is itching, then you won't scratch it. i seriously scratched it and left a big red spot on my both cheeks. =(
teing, yes mine is dry and red patchiness.
i use facial wash because it cleans the skin deeply. soap does not cut it.
for goodness sake lah teing dont so kiam can or not -.-''' if i tell you my facial wash cost RM70 how? and how u compare lah...
use those for dry and sensitive skin one. gel ones is good.
AHHHH now i remember. USE ALOE VERA!!! just cut the plant and apply on ur face =) Pretty pretty!!!
*now you compare
ya, mine cost 70bucks for god sake! and it seriously tells the difference lar. i felt lots cleaner when i used it. haha.
Aloe vera is good, but normally is good for acne skin. my sis used it.
u just try either of it lar. probably it helps.
I really dont want to spend so much lo. If a normal priced cleanser works, why not?
But all my cleansers now are for oil control. hahahahah. So have to use it all first la.
And how come both of you punya cleanser all so expensive wan. Mine is like, 20 bucks.
Just avoid the triggering cause.. can't be help. Oh, and don't use your steroid cream for more than 5 days in a row and not on that bleeding wound too!!!
Serious ah?!!?!!!!!!!!
Aih. The five days in a row thing, I'm not sure la. Sometimes I remember to apply, sometimes not. But it was definitely on a wound. After it stopped bleeding la.
err...I correct myself, steroid creams are not suppose to be applied on broken skin.. and... i know the guidelines in the UK won't allow usage on the face too.. but if your doctor say ok.. then ok that is.
But aren't all eczemic skin somewhat broken? Especially when you only apply steroids when your condition gets real bad?
And ummm.. actually no doctor said to apply it on my face. The face one was recent. I had it on my elbows and abdomen before this.
