Do you want to be a good statistic or a bad statistic?

I just read Pinky's latest post. She had this question, that I'm sure many have asked, at least once, in their lifetime: "I wonder why do we attend classes for?"

And to whom it may concern..,

Technically, you attend classes to learn something useful, in hopes of equipping yourself with enough knowledge (provided you are aware of what's going on in class and are able to stay awake and concentrate to absorb even an ounce of brain juice) about the industry prior to joining the workforce. If the tutor is crap, you port kau the fella. If you don't want to do anything about it, be my guest. Hey, it's your money.

Or your parents.

Or the government.

Whichever applies la.

But then again, there are those who are just pathetically wealthy who can afford to go through semester after semester of wholesome, repetitive subjects.

That's my answer. I'm a very education-is-important kinda person. So ya lo. Irritating, right? I'm ruthless (my groupmates think so) when it comes to assignments. And I'm only ranked second in the charts which only consists of two people as far as I know, k?

The amount of graduates unemployed are sky high, as you all may know. So the question is..

Do you want to be a statistic?

But! Everybody's a statistic if you think about it. Haha. i.e., divorce rates, percentage of happily-married couples, accident rates, percentage of people who love that new ice-cream flavour.

So the question again is..

Do you want to be a good statistic or a bad statistic?

Let me just say, it's lonely on top.
Just cause people want relaxed conditions to work in, doesn't mean they'll get it. Are they good enough that they can afford it? If they're going to screw up their assignment just cause they want to relax, they might as well go full steam ahead and relax at the end.

depends actually, if you want to a good working class person, then you should have a good statistic. sometimes people with bad statistic succeed in their life too.

Good statistics of course. But in the end of the day, the good-bad statistics counts for nothing if you don't have happiness. Hmm...what am I blabbering? Haha

Hwey: It is, isn't it? Hahahah.

Slumberaja & Nicole: Yes, true. Those who may not excel academically can do very well in life. Though many think what you learn in class doesn't help when you venture into the working world, at least it gives you an idea or an inkling of what you are about to step into ma. Doing assignments is like working. Presentations, research and stuff.

Tekkaus: Yes, what are you blabbering about? Haha.

CC & Narrowband: Good one! =)
