In all the jewelry stores I have seen, their prices are in the hundreds. Very rarely they go to the thousands. In Malaysia, they even stretch up to 5 digits.
I went to the Perth Mint and they sold gold as souvenirs. Normal la. But mostly in the shape of coins. They have pearls and opals, too. You could even press a two-dollar coin into a medallion. Which is not really worth it la I feel.
