Google Chrome. Installed. Using. Meh..

First off. I don't see why they have to make us download an installer, which is about 500+kb, and when we launch the installer, make us download a further 8+MB. Why not download it all at one go? Marketing gimmicks.

Open Task Manager and you'll see a few Google Chrome processes running (and increases as more tabs are opened). Add it all up, it's similar to the memory use of Firefox. Hwey explained to me that it's for crash control. Disregard crash control for a moment. But what difference does it make when it hogs memory just like Firefox? I've got issues with RAM. For some odd reason.

Actually, a few other processes from the Touchpad, which never opened before, opened. Closed Chrome and it's still there. That's not important though.

To the pros.

Chrome has crash control! Something I really, really treasure since Firefox dies on me very often.

Another is that, we can add sites to open automatically upon startup. Hwey's batch files can be deleted. =)

Their Options are pretty simple to navigate and use. The shortcut keys work pretty much the same as other browsers. I suppose that's a given.

I like the style and layout. Clean and simple. You see more of the site than the browser. Less heinous scrolling. Not like we had that much scrolling to do anyway.

Ooh. You can even remove thumbnails from the default page when a new tab is open.

They also have an in-built spell checker. Hmm. A little annoying at times, just because the red squiggly lines keep telling me I'm spelling a word wrong. HAHAHAHA.

I'm very much in a reviewing mode right now, since we just finished an assignment on an application review.

Why does Firefox crash so often? There's more to that then.

You know what. The shortcut for bookmarks work with Chrome. I actually typed ym for yahoo mail, and it worked. Even for fb and my blog.
