SP - Plasma TVs

Why is it that so many people want huge plasma tvs?

I understand that it's the width and that you can see more stuff. That's nice and all. But I actually like the old school tv sets. =) So cute. I remember having to move the wires just to get a clear reception.

Ah.. The good ol' days. Everyday was hot.
