Reading up on social network sites (SNSs) makes me question my motives on why I signed up to SNSs in the first place.
Initially, I opposed to the idea of myself having an account in Facebook. Even for Friendster, I strongly hesitated, but signed up for one just to see what's so fun about it. Alas, I proved myself right and deleted it within a week.
My Facebook account came about when boyfriend and I were discussing about creating one together. For what reason, I don't remember, but again, I was hesitant. But I gave in. We created an account for him first. And I played around with it, having fun filling in 'forms'.
Then I created one for myself. Why did I? I'm still not quite sure of the reason. But whatever it was, it slowly evolved to 'letting my friends know what I'm up to'. Or something like that. Still a little fuzzy la.
Just like blogs. Makes you wonder what the hell blogs are for then. But yes, everybody's got their own reason on why they're on SNSs.
I've always been very unenthusiastic about SNSs. I'm starting to hate FB too. But the photo viewing is fun.
And now part of my tutorial work is to sign up for Twitter and start tweeting. Apart from the other Web 2.0 sites that my tutor asked us to sign up and take part in.
....
My worst nightmare has come true.
But I can't be bothered to sign up la.
