Our first dinner in Perth kinda sucked.

Tonight, I had crumbed fish (PC!! The 1kg box is back!!), medium-rare, and watered-down bak choy.

How did I end up with food like this? We'll start from the top.

After Vel decided to leave us, we all went home for summer to see family and friends and enjoyed Malaysian food. We met up occasionally with other friends as well as once more for a CNY/reunion dinner at New Paris. I ate so much that night. I ate the most actually.

Three months later (I love summer. Such a long holiday), the time came for us to return to Australia. We bid Vel and Wayne farewell the night before they were due for the east coast. The little girl cried. =)

Then about two weeks later, Hwey and I left for Perth. It was sad. I kept thinking of how I won't be with my boyfriend anymore, since we saw each other almost everyday when I was still home. A bit hard ma.. But still, I'll be alright eventually. =)

The night I left the house, I already had my fill of crying and was quite busy packing and getting ready. Emotionally, all was good. But an angpow from grandma made me cry. T T

I made her cry in return. hAHAHAHAHA. Not in a bad way la k.

After a horrendous time in the air, we finally reached our destination! I couldn't be more happier. In a sickly (literally) kind of way. I really hate flying AirAsia.

We waited for an hour before collecting our car. And when we did, we helped some fellow Malaysians jump start their car. They were so grateful, I got a lil scared. Hehe.

Halfway through the jump-starting, I realised I made a bad decision when booking the car hire. We should've gotten excess reduction (like insurance)!!

What if something happens to the car when they were saving their car?! Because they didn't look as confident with the procedure. I was clueless. So they were the experts.

Anyhow, we were safe. All went well. But when I left, the car died. And again. And again. And again. Multiple times throughout the day. Clutching and gear problems. It was so stressful.

So I realised again I made another bad decision by going manual.

Screw that though, we went through the day with no accidents and paid what we were supposed to pay. =) I was instantly relieved. I quite like driving in Perth. But I wish I had my little Kancil with me. And the traffic lights are pretty confusing. If my light is green and I'm turning left, why are the cars in the opposite direction turning to their right moving as well!?

Yeah.

While we had the car with us, we picked up our belongings from Vel's pal's place. We saw her son. So cute! He saw me and called jie jie. *joy*

We bought groceries as well. Hwey kept rushing me, I really don't know why. We didn't buy as much as we needed because things belonging to others were all over the fridge. Usually we say which compartment belongs to who, problem solved. Bought some chicken stock, dairy, cereal, fish, beef mince and a bunch of bak choy. Chocolates were $1! Got myself a Snickers bar and M&M's. Bulla Creamy Classic 2L ice-cream was $3.44! What a steal!! I got it for $5 last semester. =)

When we returned the car, we took the bus back. I kept nodding off and that served as entertainment for Hwey. Damn tired la. No sleep, no water and feeling sick.

After a night of chatting with my darling and a pretty good sleep, it was 12pm and I woke up to Hwey's call asking me to work. We packed PC's stuff and got it ready for shipment. She loves us a lot now.

And when it came to dinner time, I realised we didn't have foil to line the baking tray. So I put the 'oven safe' plate in the oven. It really is oven safe. But the fish turned out a lil rare and powderish. And we need to move the wire rack up a notch to get even cooking.

Cooking the bak choy was pretty alright. Except that I couldn't estimate how much chicken stock to put since we're cooking less now. Worried that it'll be too salty ma. $5.80 for a container of chicken stock. So expensive. Lee Kum Kee punya.

So there it is. Our medium-rare and watered-down dinner.

I'd like to point out again that I hate flying AirAsia.

Time to check the weather..

The coming first few days of the week is pretty hot for KL and Perth. NZ is nice and cool. Wisconsin and Des Moines are under or 1 degrees above 0 Celcius. Good luck, Sean! XD

Autumn is coming!

Oh. I found my two mugs and lost my headband. It's definitely somewhere in the house.

I miss you, baby! <3
