On getting reacquainted with Malaysian news.

1. Ahhh!! EARTHQUAKE!!!

5.0 quake hits gold-mining town in Australia

It's in Kalgoorlie, which is to the east of Perth. And also about 600km away. The seismologist said it "would have been felt several hundred kilometers away".

We'll have to ask Hwey about that. She was awake then. But then a bit far-fetched to hope she felt it la. 600km leh. It's almost an eight-hour drive!

UPDATE: So she felt nothing, as she was in the shower.

2. Law! <3

Tune Group files trademark infringement suit

This case makes me want to dig up my Media Law notes and study it all over again. And, in my opinion, their attorney established a prima facie case. Confirm win la.

I thought the Registrar of Companies would've been the first line of defence, so to speak, for trademark infringement.

3. So politically incorrect neh..

Students anxious to fly back to Britain

Initially, I was chuckling away when I read the first paragraph. But when I got further down, I saw this:
For Asian students, attendance contribute 10% of their final exam marks in her school.

This quote applies to a boarding school in Kent. Perhaps, it was the journalist, I don't know. Could've been the chick she interviewed, anyway. I think 'International Students' would've been a better term. XD

4. Awesome recycling plan to come to Malaysia!

Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo agree to chart ‘new frontier’ in bilateral ties
SUPPORTING the setting up of a recycling system of waste and electronics (especially a collection system from consumers) in Malaysia through the know-how and experience of Japan; and

I finally found the name of that sukiyaki restaurant in Shinjuku. MoMo Paradise Kabukicho Ranch in Shinjuku has pretty, thin, nicely sliced beef. Awesome, awesome beef that keep on coming. I had a good experience there and would love to go back again.

In the future, I will!

5. So the BN candidate is looking to woo supporters through FB..

UPDATE: Woops. Not the current Kinabatangan MP. The guy vying for the BN candidacy instead. The current Kinabatangan MP is two-timing without consent. Wrong guy, sorry.

Lau hopes to be a hit with voters by taking to social networking site

I don't know why I find his profile so funny. Especially, his wall.
