New mobo! But no sound.

The Dell engineer came in this morning to install a new motherboard for my system (Dell Inspiron 1420). I was pretty happy with everything (customer service in general) until I realised there's no sound.

NO SOUND. AT ALL.

Adjusted settings and volumes. Plugged in the headphones. Nothing. Not a hardware problem either.

He kept prying open the speaker-plate thing to fix the battery bay (battery couldn't slide in) and sorta mixed up his screws while installing the mobo, though.

Hohhhhhhhh!!!! So annoying!!! No sound, no video!!

no video? WAsn't the whole point of the service to fix video issues?

I dont know la. I keep forgetting to ask them about it. But since it's not the hardware, then maybe it's the software.
