You're right. I'm thinking about his age. And whether his family had any opinions about it.
You see, my parents keep telling my siblings and I not to get married too early. My dad even told me (which is rare considering he doesn't voice his opinions about a lot of things I do) to start thinking of marriage when I'm 28.
Since the last time we had this discussion, the age went down to 24. HAHA. I'd love to have a dragon baby.
I also have heard of a few accounts where friends' parents didn't think they're children should get married so early.
Cue Kevin Jonas. And the first child of that couple who has 19 kids.. and counting. He was married at.. 20, I think? That's right. The Duggar family.
So what's the difference between Jonas-Duggar and Me-Friends? Yup. East and West.
Is there some kind of thing where western families don't mind their kids getting married in their early 20s? If yes, why?
Then I noticed a similarity between Jonas and Duggar. They're both from staunch (what with the purity rings and all.. HAHA. I wonder what they would have done if a fangirl flashed them.) Christian families.
Is it possible that Christian families, perhaps those in the West, have a 'take them as they come', or maybe a more accurate term is 'if it is god's will', kind of approach to life?
Or maybe it's just that the Asians are more career-focused (or maybe it's money-minded); financial stability before marriage?
I should've done Anthropology. And I'd still score in my essays. The difference is, I would have easily found a topic for a thesis.
