Online shopping, or
green shopping is said to be more environmentally-friendly because of the reduced carbon emissions when you aren't required to travel to the store. True. But what about the energy consumption when we browse through the online catalog? I imagine we'd take a while to pick out things since there are always online deals. I myself spend hours just browsing.
Wouldn't all that energy use amount to something negative for the environment? Albeit much less than driving, it's still something if you want to be specific. But it all boils down to your energy provider isn't it? What kind of energy source they use and all.
