Cord management

One of the criteria to have an efficient and clean workstation is cord management. You have cables for your CPU power supply, monitor(s), mouse, keyboard, extension cord, and any other workstation paraphernalia. Hence, to avoid any mishaps such as tripping over cables or little kitties strangling themselves around it, use cable ties or clips.
