How come we don't have prettier mailboxes?!

Yeah, okay. So the Italian one isn't so practical. But it's pretty, right?
Can't we all have pretty mailboxes? The ones the majority of us have are a sight for sore eyes.
Mine is made out of... I don't even know what's it made of. It's just a pipe-looking cylinder.
