ROAR (for Animal Rights): In My Eyes Only - Day 5

There wasn't much on the 17th..

18th June, 2007

12pm: PR class was brought into the Auditorium so we can finish up work. So no class la. Then.. (Haiyooyo.. This is where all the work started)..

Ms Lecturer said the press releases couldn't be printed because of the watermark or something. So we had to get it all printed or photostated today. Hwey and I walked all the way to the shop houses near college. It was a 5-minute walk, according to Hwey. But it fell like a bloody 10-minute journey under the scorching sun.

Sweat.. burning heels.. dehydrated.. starving.. Just like walking in a desert.

Anyway, went to many, many shops to ask about colour photostating and digital printing. Man, are they expensive. Found one shop, but the file couldn't be opened. Had to go back to campus (another 10-minute journey under the scorching sun) to put into Hwey's mp3. Then go back again. We're practically drenched.

No lar.. Not so serious. More like, sweating heavily. Very heavy.

Called the press so many times, too. Faxing and all that, so ran up and down between the Student Centre and the auditorium. The girl who was manning the counter was busy and got irritated because of the disruption.

At 2pm, I went off to fulfil my two-hour quota.

4pm: Met up in the auditorium for a test run. I still had to call the press. (Day and night make so many calls, I want to die already lar.)

Anyway, called the press and went faxing again. Then 4.30pm, the boys (Morning Moon) showed up.

The modelling was.. a bit farnie. Turn left. Turn right. Turn left. Walk. All in like, 4 seconds. Something like that la..

The worse thing was that, when Morning Moon was supposed to be on stage, suddenly the models wanted to go home and they were put on stage to do the a last walk. The boys got taken off.

So not right! They want to go home, other people don't want ar? They had to wait for an hour or more only can get on stage, but kena halau in the end.

Not fair. Right. But according to Aristotle's Golden Mean, you should make decisions for the greater good. That means, to make decisions that will benefit the largest amount of people.

So from here, we can see that it was kind of right to put the boys away and let the models strut their stuff.

See why I say there are two ways to look at things? Okay, those who have not met me may not know that..

8pm: Left college and went to pick up the folders we ordered on Saturday and the booklets and tags from Lester's.

Got home, Hwey was sorting out the press kit. See see..

OI??!!! Why only 10 folders?? We ordered 20! Paid for 20 and got 10!!

Shit.

But thank goodness there are 10 members of the press attending only. So, still safe la. Will call them tomorrow though.
