Why do we have to use Facebook, etc.

Hwey came in asking how would I describe my responsibilities for the recent event. So I figured she's putting it on Facebook. (I think it's evil in some aspects)

I asked her why is she doing it and she rehashed what we learnt in Net Studies about impression management and reputation. And she's right. Increasingly, employers are looking at social media to conduct background checks on potential or current employees. I'm not sure how it is in Malaysia, but it's rampant in the West.

No matter how much I despise the idea of putting up things about myself on the Internet, particularly FB (Again, because I think it's evil), I should still do it and use it to my best advantage because it's reality. Organisations are using social media for anything, not just individuals.

So go ahead and be all showy on FB. But be smart about what you put up. It can make or break you.

On another note, the event is done. It'll be totally over when I send the checklist to the office. And collect payment. HAHAhAh. I'm gonna go for foot reflexology with baby!

I like working with that bunch. It was fun. Clients were extremely happy. Bosses are happy. We're all happy.

And both baby and my laptop needs some TLC. I love you baby! <3 Thank you for supporting me. =)

And do you know the amount of mutual friends we all have?!? Most mutual, very few we've met as strangers. Like in a cake shop. Damn 邪 (Canto - cheh / Freaky) la.
