This article from AdAge talks about Online Word Of Mouth Marketing.
It says that there are two ways people share information about products online:
This graph shows where adults in the US (10,044 of'em) share information online.
[Source]See how blogs posts are only 16% whereas ratings/reviews is double of that? When I saw that, I was wondering why blog ad networks like PU2B, PPP (if it still exists), etc., are still in the blog ad business. There's not much trust in this section, especially when the posts are sponsored. *cough*
Yes, there was a market then and still do and all. But the reach is the lowest. You might as well set up a review site and get a truck load of unique visitors/impressions (whichever it is and, of course, through effective promotion) and earn advertising revenue ma.
Just sayin'. I know blogs are useful for getting the word about your product out there. But I think the trust factor would be low; no influence lah. But then again, depends whether the blogger really did trial the product, etc..
All in all, cover your bases ma. Yeah, okay.
UPDATE: HAHAhAh. I just found an article on Mashables capable of shooting this post to oblivion.

so far i've never written a sponsored entry =)
Haha that's why my blog entries are mostly reviews on something. It's easier to get visitors.
Kenwooi: Lucky you. XD Us, poor people need to find ways to supplement income/pay off debt.
