After going through a gazillion tests that took forever, namely PSA Diagnostics, Dell Diagnostics, Memory tests, symptom tests (took the longest), and Windows Memory diagnostics. No errors for all.
I'm no pro, but I'm pretty sure it's a hardware problem. The mofo crashed or froze on me twice in less than (prolly) 30mins. It's not Chrome nor is it IE. I've used Windows Media Player 12 and MPC Homecinema interchangeably and it still crashes.
Booting in normal mode as per normal usage (includes not killing processes) causes freezing. Killing processes in normal mode also causes freezing.
So far working in safe mode hasn't caused any problems (I don't know how long I should use it till it passes out though). So I guess it's safe to say that it isn't a driver problem. Right?
Sigh. So tired of this. And the **** touchpad! On/off button doesn't work at all.
I don't think I want a Dell anymore. If they had a service centre, I'd still be somewhat.. hopeful? Happy? Like there's some ray of hope la.
But they don't. Not one place where I can drop it off or they pick it up and send it to a centre. Actually got. But have to send all the *** way to Phillipines. I'd rather leave it to them to fix where they have all the time they need and better facilities than them sending a technician over who is a university student as well. And hello? It's the exam period, okay?

I emailed the representative who handled the whole unit replacement that night on the day I got it. Come Monday, we'll see how it goes la.
I feel like screwing them but I can't bring myself to be rude. -_- Also, if you want customer service personnel to be helpful, you have to be polite.
Maybe I'll try out that Lifehacker tip: Ask them what would they do if they were in your situation.

God. Wayne's using Dell too. Lets just hope his one won't cause any major problem. -.-
If he's been using it for awhile already, I don't think will have problem la. Mine had problems the day I got it.
