Dell Inspiron 1564 freezes unexpectedly and constantly.

This is getting old.

I just restored factory settings and was happily telling the world that I'm using portable apps now, then the laptop freezes. Even if I didn't install anything in the laptop itself. So it wasn't anything I installed the first time around.

I have a feeling it's the graphics card. Iono lah.

Okay. So here's a summary:

Day 1 (28/5/10)-3: Laptop freezing constantly. Updated drivers and BIOS, and ran PSA diagnostics, Dell Diagnostics, and Windows Memory Diagnostics. No errors found.

Day 4: Contacted the Dell Representative handling my new unit replacement issue and she said the issue was forwarded to Tech Support.

A week later: Received no feedback from Tech Support. Contacted them myself. Public holiday on the day I sent in a ticket.

Next business day: Support told me to update my drivers. Which I already did, but I forgot to mention it to them. I also forgot to mention the buzzing PC adapter which really sounds like there's some lose charges running around in there.

Today (10/6/10): Restored factory settings. Ran Firefox from my thumbdrive and published a post on the awesomeness of PortApps then laptop freezes.
