Barcode Scanners

It was my second or third day of work and I was exiting the building carpark. I touched the season pass to the barcode scanner on the machine. The card could not be read. OMG. Am I going to be stuck here for awhile?! That was my initial response. Then I remembered that there was another exit. Hah. So happened, the security guard comes along and I told him about it. He said to use the other exit. Okay. When the scan was successful, he gave me a smile and a thumbs up. =) I felt victorious.
